Information we handle
- Account and profile details, such as your name, email address, chosen language, organization or cooperative, and profile information
- Learning records, including enrollments, lesson progress, quiz attempts, task submissions, trainer feedback, and certificates
- Participation information, such as discussion posts, replies, peer reviews, and notifications
- Files or links you intentionally upload as part of a course activity
- Basic technical and security information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, deliver courses, preserve progress, assess learning, provide feedback, administer cohorts, issue certificates, send service messages, prevent abuse, and improve the reliability of the platform. SmartStart Dairy does not sell learner personal information.
Who can see learning activity
Authorized trainers and administrators can view the records needed to support and assess learners. Discussion content is visible according to the course discussion settings. Task submissions follow the privacy and peer-review settings shown when the learner submits the work.
Service providers
The platform uses service providers for application hosting, database operation, file storage, email delivery, and optional Google sign-in. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their respective services and maintain platform security.
Offline learning
When a learner downloads supported course content, a copy is stored on that device for offline use. The learner can remove downloaded content from the Downloads area or by clearing the application data on the device.
Retention and learner requests
Records are retained for as long as they are needed to operate the training program, preserve required learning and certificate records, meet institutional obligations, and resolve disputes or security incidents. To request access, correction, or deletion where applicable, contact your training coordinator or use the official channels on the Contact page.

This page will be updated when the platform materially changes how it handles learner information. The updated date above identifies the current version.
